GATHER is the home for practical action to upend conflict. It is a platform to spark, fuel, and scale locally rooted efforts seeking to change the status quo.
GATHER is an inclusive and impact-driven program that supports innovation and practical action across sectors, irrespective of profit-structure, and on a variety of issues that are related to and can impact conflict.
We host themed convening spaces that focus on select issues and allow for its participants to exchange ideas, share expertise, and initiate connections that could ultimately lead to alliance, investment or other input that could accelerate accomplishment.
By leveraging the Seeds of Peace network of leading corporate, private, public, media, philanthropy and academic figures, we mobilize the knowledge, investment and constructive assistance necessary to unlock the potential of the GATHER community members.
From February 26 to March 1, 2015 we hosted our first convening, GATHER+962, at the Dead Sea in Jordan. Focusing on the roles that business, entrepreneurship, media, technology and gender play in social change and conflict transformation, the summit was attended by over 200 participants from more than 20 countries.
In December 2015, we hosted our second convening, GATHER+971, for 28 Seeds and other changemakers from across South Asia that focused on advancing the role of women and girls in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
GATHER COMMUNITY DAYS IN PALESTINE & ISRAEL
In the spring of 2016, we convened over 700 Seeds, parents, educators, and friends for two GATHER Community Days in Palestine and Israel to recognize the impact our alumni are having in their communities and take part in workshops, trainings, and networking sessions.
In December 2018, we brought together nearly 60 Seeds, Educators, and Fellows for a four-day summit focused on affecting change as a community.
