Each summer, hundreds of teenagers and educators engage with each other across lines of conflict—sharing meals, living spaces, and learning experiences in a traditional summer camp program in Maine.
For many young people, this type of interaction is impossible at home, and our Camp is the first time they are encountering peers from the “other side.”
It is here that personal and interpersonal change begins, as perceptions and attitudes shift in the face of a new reality. During this three week session, campers arrive with historic differences, and leave united as Seeds.
Dedicated to investing in exceptional social entrepreneurs, educators, and civic leaders that are part of our network of changemakers, Seeds of Peace Fellows are undertaking important work that will contribute to the political, social, and economic conditions necessary for peace in their communities.
Fellowships are designed to accelerate the impact of individuals who are establishing organizations, launched initiatives, and running innovative projects that benefit their community. Fellows are selected through a competitive process, based on the capacity to scale their work and impact.
