Sandenna McMaster

Special Projects Coordinator

Sandenna joined Seeds of Peace after working across international law, human rights, and sustainable development in Europe and the Middle East.

She is originally from Alaska and is a dual citizen of France and the United States. She studied International Relations at Lewis & Clark College, where she focused on diplomacy, conflict resolution, and the politics of the Middle East and North Africa.

After graduating in 2021, she moved to Paris and worked as a paralegal with the Arbitration team at Bird & Bird AARPI, contributing to high-profile cases involving parties from across Europe and the Middle East. She has delivered lectures on post-conflict reconciliation strategy in Sudan and Rwanda, and most recently conducted research for the Human Rights Foundation, where she supported initiatives on the MENA team addressing authoritarianism and civil resistance.

Sandenna is deeply committed to equipping young people living in conflict with the tools to foster sustainable peace through education, cross-cultural dialogue, and creative approaches to complex challenges.

“Working for Seeds of Peace allows me to be part of something deeply intentional—creating spaces that center our shared humanity, our instinct to connect, and our often-overlooked ability to reimagine inherited realities with perspective and compassion. It’s the difference between treating the wounds of division and teaching people how to heal, not just to endure, but to build something stronger in its place.”
