2021 Dialogue Facilitation Certification details
Cost: $300 (full and partial scholarships are available)
Grade: Current 9th to 12th graders
Open to: Youth who have completed a Seeds of Peace Summer Program either virtually or in-person and who apply by November 7.
Location: Anywhere! This is a virtual program.
Dates: Saturday and Sunday, November 13, 14, 20 and 21 | 1-5 p.m. Eastern (10 a.m.-2 p.m. Pacific)
Now that you have experienced the dialogue space as a participant, you are ready to learn the skills, frameworks, and practices of dialogue facilitation. Those who complete the training will be prepared to facilitate others in meaningful dialogues about the most pressing issues facing their communities and lives.
This training is designed for youth who have participated in a Seeds of Peace program to learn to become facilitators of their own dialogues. This training not only digs into the frameworks of dialogue and communication across lines of difference, but also the skills around facilitating that turn conflicts into conversations, and moments of misunderstanding into opportunities to learn and deepen connection with others. Join us in learning how to lead the types of pressing dialogues and conversations that aren’t happening anywhere else!
The skills that we will build include:

• Creating Anti-Oppressive Spaces and Positive Group Culture
• Group Sharing Mechanisms
• Designing a Dialogue Based on a Topic, Issue, or Conflict
• Question-Asking, Listening to Understand
• Co-Facilitation
• Intervening When Conflict Strikes
When you leave this training, you will have the skills to:
• Run your own dialogue programs (peers or multigenerational)
• Bring facilitation strategies to teams, clubs, and decision-making bodies that you are a part of
• Engage in better, more courageous, and productive conversations with the people in your lives in any context
