Elinor Tappé

Senior Director, Advancement

Elinor is an executive leader in development, strategy, and organizational growth with more than three decades of experience spanning corporate, startup, nonprofit, and higher education environments. Her core competencies include strategic planning, philanthropic development, operational build-out, leadership coaching, team recruitment, and integrated marketing & communications.

Elinor began her career in corporate marketing in New York. There, she led initiatives for multinational organizations, recruiting and mentoring high-performing teams and pioneering early corporate social responsibility programs.

Over the past 15 years, Elinor’s work has focused on education and social impact. She helped establish an international traveling high school, building global partnerships across the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia. At the University of California, Berkeley, she launched alumni programming and East Coast operations—and at the University of Virginia, she led institutional positioning as the Executive Director of Strategy for the Batten School of Public Policy. Elinor has also led transformative development efforts in the nonprofit sector, serving homeless youth and urban education.

Elinor lives in Philadelphia, and is a proud mother of a Seed—a connection that makes Seeds of Peace’s work especially meaningful to her.
