Lani Martin

Lani is currently an investor and advisor focused on biotech, greentech, apparel, consumer companies in their early growth phase.

Born and educated in Canada, Lani moved to New York City after receiving her MBA to pursue a finance career. She spent over a dozen years in investment banking with Merrill Lynch and Banc of America Securities, providing corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions advice to public and private companies.

Lani built an industry-leading investment banking group in the apparel and footwear sector, participating in a fascinating time in the industry as important brands defined themselves, accessed the public markets, and developed into global brands. Prior to moving to New York, Lani spent four years with Price Waterhouse.

Lani moved to the UK in 2006 with her husband and children. Upon relocating to London, she focused on mentoring, advising, and investing in startups while also taking the opportunity to travel extensively to learn more about various cultures.

Throughout her career, Lani has always been involved as a volunteer and supporter of charities, primarily focused on the education of children. Lani was involved in the conception and launch of the inaugural UK Seeds of Peace Dialogue and Leadership Seminar hosted in Spring of 2018. Her daughter is a Seed.

Lani holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Calgary and an MBA from Ivey School of Business.
