Alexa Liautaud

Alexa joined the Seeds of Peace family in 2010 as an American Seed. She returned in 2012 as a peer counselor. She is a graduate of Stanford University and earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in History as well as a minor in Middle Eastern Languages, Literatures and Culture.

After graduating in 2016, she moved to New York and earned a master’s degree from Columbia Journalism School with a focus on reporting and short-documentary filmmaking. She previously reported for the Wall Street Journal in Paris, covering the Nice terror attacks and other events. She is now an associate producer for VICE News Tonight on HBO where her reporting centers on conflict, humanitarian disasters, and more recently U.S. politics.
