Seeds of Peace GATHER Fellow, 2020

Building a united Palestinian society.

How have you impacted your community?

I am the development director for a Palestinian nonprofit called Zimam, which brings together thousands of Palestinians from across the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem to build a society united through respect, peace, and democracy.

I hold a BA in English Literature and an MA in Conflict and Security from An-Najah University and George Mason University, where I was also a Fulbright Scholar.

Through the GATHER Fellowship, I am looking forward to meeting other leaders from around the world and brainstorming solutions and approaches that will transform conflicts.

“I want to provide emerging young leaders in Palestine with the skills, confidence and network they need to lead and innovate within their communities.”
