IMPACT: SOCIAL

Creating and empowering activist students and teachers in Israel.

How have you impacted your community?

I work at the intersection of education and activism, both locally and globally. I have more than 20 years’ experience in the field of education, and am currently a PhD researcher in the field of activist pedagogy and active citizenship.

I am also a social activist and blogger and founded and developed a web platform to support multicultural relations between Jews and Arabs in three languages (Arabic, English and Hebrew). The goal of the website is to highlight connections that exist today and which otherwise do not receive much attention. The idea is to change the discourse and to influence the importance of dialogue, connections, and partnerships. There are over 2,000 subscribers to the site who receive newsletters with related articles, an event calendar, database of organizations, and other important information.

I have extensive experience in community affairs and dialogue programs and graduated with an MA in Business Administration & NGO Management.

“I want to empower students to make change in their communities through education—through activist teachers.”
