Vivek Bantwal


Vivek is a partner at Goldman Sachs. Vivek led the firm’s Natural Resources Financing Group in New York, where he focused on the origination, structuring, and execution of leveraged, corporate, acquisition, and commodity hedge-linked financings in the power, energy, chemicals, and metals and mining sectors. Vivek serves as a member of the Bank Capital Committee and is the firmwide captain of the University of Pennsylvania analyst recruiting team. He previously served on the firm’s People Survey Committee and the New Banker Training Committee.

Vivek joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 and worked in the Risk Markets Group until 2004, advising Investment Banking clients on structured financings, securitizations, and risk management. He became a vice president in 2004 and was named managing director in 2007 and partner in 2012.

Vivek grew up in Philadelphia and is a proud Philadelphia Eagles season ticket holder. He earned a BS in Economics, magna cum laude, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Vivek has strong ties to India and is an advocate of Seeds of Peace’s work in South Asia.
