Maayan participated in the Seeds of Peace Camp as a member of the 2000 Israeli Delegation, and returned as a Peer Support in 2001 and 2002. Since then, she has remained an active member of the organization, participating in Seeds of Peace events in Israel and around the world, including the 2003 “Breaking News, Making Headlines” Media Conference and Benefit Dinner in New York, and the 2008 Graduate Association Summit in Morocco.

In 2012, she graduated from the year-long Seeds of Peace Facilitation Course and has been a dialogue facilitator at Camp for the past three summers. In her role as a facilitator, she learned how much she loves working with youth in a non-traditional educational approach, and therefore joined the Seeds of Peace regional staff as a programs coordinator in the summer of 2013.

Maayan holds a BA in Psycho-Biology from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and an MA in Organizational Development from the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya. While pursuing her Masters, she joined a leading management consulting firm in Israel and has gained expertise in various organizational processes such as management training and strategic planning that she hopes will support her role as a director.

Maayan is extremely passionate about working towards building a stronger Seeds of Peace community in the Middle East and feels proud to be part of the Seeds of Peace staff.

“Looking back on my years as a Seed, I am amazed to realize just how much Seeds of Peace has shaped the grown-up person I have become—what started off as an experience for me quickly became a life-long journey. I am grateful for the opportunity of working with young changemakers that dare not only to dream, but also to do.”
