Lou D’Ambrosio

Lou has been the CEO of Fortune 500 companies and senior executive across multiple industries, including technology, retail, and clean-tech.

Most recently, Lou served as Executive Chairman of Sensus, a clean technology leader focused on conserving water and energy through smart sensors and communication systems. Lou led the company’s successful sale to Xylem, a leader in smart water technologies.

Previously, Lou was CEO of Sears Holdings—comprised of Sears, Kmart, and Lands’ End—leading the company in transition from brick-and-mortar to integrated retail. Lou also served as CEO and board member of Avaya, Inc., a global telecommunications company, which he led through a private equity transaction.

Earlier in his career, Lou spent 16 years at IBM in domestic and international leadership roles. Lou led strategy for IBM’s Global Services business, Industry Operations for IBM Asia Pacific, IBM Marketing Development, and Sales and Marketing for IBM software. Lou was appointed to IBM’s Worldwide Management Committee.

Lou currently sits on Boards of private equity owned companies, including PSAV and Watchfire. Lou is also active in non profit organizations, serving as Chairman of the Amigos de Jesus Orphanage in Honduras and a trustee and committee chair of the Jackson Laboratory, a leading biomedical research center.

Lou has been a speaker at major conferences including the World Economic Forum and Interop and has been quoted in leading media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and USAToday.

Lou received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Science from Penn State University, graduating summa cum laude and valedictorian.
