Emily (Em) Adolphsen

Camp Coordinator (New York)

Emily (Em) joined the Seeds of Peace Camp program in early 2019 as the Camp Coordinator.

She brings extensive experience reaching from camp counselor to public accountant. Having previously worked in international staffing for summer camps, accounting, business development, HR and administrative departments, and her familiarity with all things Maine, this role at Seeds of Peace was hand-tailored for Emily and she is thrilled to be a part of the team.

As the Coordinator for Camp, Emily manages all the behind-the-scenes, operational logistics that come into play year-round to make our summers at the Seeds of Peace Camp possible.

From small-town, mid-coast Maine, Emily has always had a longing for the nonprofit sector and has worked in camps and youth programs across New England and Mexico. Residing in Manhattan, she enjoys volleyball, baking and exploring unchartered territories, and is excited to return to her home state for the best time of the year.

Emily holds a B.S. in Business Management with a concentration in Accounting from Southern Connecticut State University.

“It’s inspiring to see this environment that buds and cultivates perspective. Seeds of Peace provides the opportunity for participants raised with preconceptions and fears to practice and advance their leadership skills to build incredible communities, share their thoughts and beliefs, and gain new experiences and perspectives. What a hope that brings to humanity—and what a privilege it is to be a part of it.”
