Dr. Amin Badr-El-Din

Amin is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of Badr Investments and the Group Chairman and Executive Director at Chescor Capital Limited. He is involved in private equity, venture capital, and angel investing activities around the world.

Amin is an expert in international affairs and one of the Middle East’s leading economic, defence, and energy strategists. He is also involved in project development with a focus on sustainable food, energy and water, as well as real estate.

He has advised a number of governments on economic development including Ireland, France, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Malaysia, Switzerland, and Indonesia, and served as an advisor to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, now Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

In the 1980s, he held senior positions with the Jordanian government and served as an advisor to the Crown Prince of Jordan, and in the 1990s, Amin was the founder of the UAE Offsets Group.

Amin’s career started in California, with a mix of technical, financial and management disciplines. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of London, and master’s and doctorate degrees from Stanford University.

Amin serves on the boards of the King’s Academy (Jordan), United World College-USA, and Universiteit Nyenrode (The Netherlands).
