Devon Maalouf

Devon is a senior account executive on the energy team at Edelman. In her role, Devon is responsible for media relations, oppositional research and activation, as well as public affairs strategy for a number of energy clients.

Prior to joining Edelman, Devon worked for the ABC News program, This Week with Christiane Amanpour where she was responsible for tracking developments in the national security arena and the Middle East and subsequently developing and presenting pitches for relevant segments of the show. She was also tasked with researching and writing various pieces for the program’s blog.

Devon has a Master’s in intelligence and international security from the Department of War Studies at King’s College, London, where her thesis focused on the geopolitics of cross-border conflict and the development of natural gas in Israel and Lebanon. She also attended the American University of Beirut, obtaining a certificate of proficiency in the Arabic language after receiving her bachelor’s degree in international politics from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.

Devon was a member of the American delegation to Camp in 2004.

She has enjoyed living in Fez, Jerusalem, Ramallah, Beirut, and now Washington, D.C. She is fluent in Arabic and Spanish.
