Brian Keith McCollum is an ordained teaching elder in the Presbyterian Church, USA. Brian comes to Seeds of Peace from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC, where he served as the Vice President of Development. While at Wesley Brian led the fundraising efforts for a $35M capital campaign.
Prior to Wesley, Brian served as the Director of Recruitment and later as the Director of Alumni Relations for Princeton Theological Seminary. During that time, Brian helped to cultivate relationships with major donors and plan a significant capital campaign for the seminary. Before working in higher education administration, Brian served in a dual role as the Director of Arts and Education and performer for Step Afrika dance company. While working for Step Afrika, Brian traveled to over 50 countries around the world teaching and performing the art form of step dance.
Now Brian joins Seeds of Peace as the Director of Development, where he will work with the entire team as well as key stakeholders to achieve Seed’s fundraising goals. Brian is a collaborative leader, who grounds all fundraising activities, appeals, and events in three core values which are T.I.E. (transparency, integrity, and excellence).
Brian is a graduate of Morehouse College, Princeton Theological Seminary, Columbia University, and currently completing his Ph.D. from Hampton University.
