Aliya Nedungadi

Aliya worked as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company for several years before joining the management team of Saks Fifth Avenue to launch their electronic commerce business, Saks.com.

An expert in marketing and communications, Aliya has achieved success as part of several organizations. After earning a BA in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard, Aliya moved to London where she pursued her interest in luxury retail as the Head of Marketing for De Beers Diamond Jewellers. In 2009, Aliya left De Beers to start her own real estate development business, AKN Properties.

Aliya is on the advisory council at the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies and on the Harvard Business School Alumni Board.

She and her husband Ajit Nedungadi, Managing Partner at TA Associates, have provided philanthropic support to Princeton’s new M.S. Chadha Center for Global India, Yale’s Jackson Institute, Ashoka University in Northern India, and Invest in Muslim Women’s literacy project “Jenny’s Room to Read.” They are also part of the Hall School’s Space to Soar Campaign Leadership Group and North London Collegiate School’s Capital Campaign Major Gifts Group.
