Camp application now open below
The Seeds of Peace Camp program welcomes young people (current 9th and 10th graders) of different racial, religious, economic, and political backgrounds from urban and rural areas across the United States.
This year, we’re focused on recruiting diverse groups of youth to attend Camp together as delegations from the same regions so they have a strong community of support as they put their dialogue and action skills to work back home.
We are therefore actively recruiting campers from New York City, Syracuse, Boston, Baltimore, Washington, DC, Southeast United States (Atlanta; Birmingham and Huntsville, Alabama), Cincinnati, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
If you or your child live in one of these regions we are excited for you to complete the Camp application below!
Following this challenging year, we believe it is more important than ever to create space for young people to come together to build community, share your perspectives, and gain the skills to make change. Together at Camp this summer, we will work to create a better world.

What does the Camp program look like?
At the Seeds of Peace Camp, we give young people the chance to be in community with one another and build relationships across their lines of difference—sharing meals, living spaces, and engaging in traditional camp activities on the shores of Pleasant Lake in rural Maine.
This summer, we are working with our community partners to bring together youth who live in the same country, but experience very different realities.
After their participation in Camp, youth will continue to meet with their local cohorts, supported by the United States Programs team and local educators to continue to take action in their communities.
All Seeds of Peace programs are rooted in dialogue, community, leadership, and action-taking. When you come to Camp, you will spend two and a half weeks by a beautiful lake in Maine where you will have the opportunity to live with and learn from your peers from different backgrounds, experiences, and identities.
Together, we will play sports and enjoy the waterfront while we build relationships and community with one another. You will have the opportunity to express yourself through our dynamic arts program, and through dialogue, where we share stories about our life experiences, realities, identities, and communities.
In addition to building relationships and sharing stories, we will build our individual and collective power to create real, tangible change in our communities.
