Hummus Taste Off

Hummus holds a very special place in the center of both cuisine and culture for many Middle Eastern and Mediterranean people. It is a symbol of pride and a source of healthy nutrition—and had started many an argument over who makes it best…

To help settle this dispute, we invite New York restaurants to put their fresh hummus head-to-head in the name of coexistence. As a centerpiece of this year’s Peace Market, Seeds of Peace will host the 3rd Annual Hummus Taste-Off!

The winner will be selected by a panel of celebrity judges including:

• Danyelle Freeman (RestaurantGirl.com)

• Judy Joo (Iron Chef UK, The Next Iron Chef)

• Joe Campanale (L’Artusi, dell’anima, Anfora)

• Josh Beckerman (the Foodie Magician)

• Chef Jehangir Mehta (Mehtaphor, Graffiti)

A blind tasting will be prepared by each of the participating restaurants. A second judging – the audience favorite – will be decided by you!
