Job: Attorney at an international law firmAs you embark upon your professional career, how do the lessons learned at Seeds of Peace inform your ambitions?
Seeds of Peace got me interested in international affairs. Because of this interest, I studied politics and economics in college, and obtained a master's in international politics and a doctorate in law. I now practice international law in Washington, DC and my ambition is to develop an expertise in Middle East practice.
In what ways has your experience at Seeds of Peace impacted you as a person?
Seeds of Peace had a significant impact on my life. My experience at Seeds of Peace opened my mind to a vast world of possibilities. Despite the horrific conditions and the ongoing wars in the Middle East, I now know that not everyone on the other side wishes me harm. I learned that I could disagree with government policies without having to lose friends who I have grown to admire as individuals. Because of Seeds of Peace I have become a more open-minded person and I always strive to respect and listen to all points of views. Above all, Seeds of Peace has provided me with hope that the current cycle of senseless violence does not have to be inevitable.
