The Reflections of Hope Award
Seeds of Peace was named the winner of the "Reflections of Hope" award from the Oklahoma City National Memorial, which honors those who died in the April 19, 1995 bombing in Oklahoma City. Click here for more information [1]
The King Hussein Foundation Leadership Prize
Seeds of Peace, along with Archbishop Desmond Tutu, was the recipient of the 2006 King Hussein Foundation Leadership Prize. Two Seeds were flown in to receive the award. The Prize recognizes individuals, groups, or institutions that demonstrate inspiring and courageous leadership in their efforts to promote sustainable development, human rights, tolerance, equity, and peace. The Peace Millennium Award
An initiative begun by Vermont-based "The Peace Company," the Peace Millennium Award recognizes and honors peace pioneers with the gift of a box of 20 copies of The Peace Book. These gifts say to our grassroots peace leaders, “What you are doing is critically important to the survival and well-being of our world. You are laying the foundation for a new millennium of peace, and we are grateful.” Click here for the full release [1]
National Commission for Inter-Religious Dialogue and Ecumenism peace awards
Two former delegation leaders, Sister Pilar and Mr. Cecil Chaudhry, have been given peace awards by the National Commission for Inter-Religious Dialogue and Ecumenism in Pakistan. Sister Pilar is the principal of the Convent of Jesus and Mary school where Seeds monthly meetings are held. Mr. Chaudhry is the Principal of St. Anthony's College.
