Oslo Signing 1993

Seeds of Peace delegates first drew international attention as the honored guests at the September 1993 signing of the Israeli-Palestinian Declaration of Principles at the White House.

Since then, Seeds of Peace has received the support of many world leaders, including Secretary-General Kofi Annan, Prime Minister Tony Blair, His Late Majesty King Hussein, His Majesty King Abdullah, Her Majesty Queen Noor, President Yasser Arafat, Prime Minister Ahmed Queri, and former Prime Ministers Yitzhak Rabin, Shimon Peres, Benjamin Netanyahu and Ehud Barak.

Seeds with Colin Powell
Each summer Seeds of Peace International Camp participants visit Washington D.C. and meet with either the President, Vice President and/or the Secretary of State as well as members of Congress.

Over the past ten years, Seeds have met with important US figures such as President George W. Bush, Vice President Richard Cheney, Secretary of State Colin Powell, National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice, Former President William Jefferson Clinton, former Vice President Al Gore and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

In recognition of its groundbreaking work, in 2000 the United Nations awarded Seeds of Peace the prestigious UNESCO Mandanjeet Singh Prize for Tolerance and Non-Violence and in 2003, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed a resolution honoring Seeds of Peace.
