‘SEEDS OF PEACE’ OPENS 15th SEASON OF CAMP WITH OVER 150 PALESTINIAN, JORDANIAN, EGYPTIAN, ISRAELI, INDIAN, PAKISTANI, AFGHAN AND AMERICAN YOUTH
Young Leaders Convene at International Camp in Maine to Build Stronger Avenues To Peace & Coexistence; Recent Violence & Turmoil in Middle East Underscores
Urgent Need for ‘Seeds of Peace’ Programs and Initiatives

New York, NY (June 26, 2007) – Israeli, Palestinian, Jordanian, Egyptian, Indian, Pakistani, Afghan, and American youth will join together from various regions of conflict to open the 15th season of the Seeds of Peace camp with a unifying flag-raising ceremony at 9:00am on Wednesday, June 27th at the Seeds of Peace International Camp in Otisfield, Maine. Over 150 campers and adult delegation leaders will be attending the first three-week session, which runs through July 17th. (The second session will focus exclusively on Arab and Israeli campers and will convene from July 23rd - August 14th.)

During the Opening Ceremony, each delegation will sing their national anthem and the ceremony will conclude with the Seeds of Peace anthem and the raising of the Seeds of Peace flag.
