Feruzan has been an educator for the last 23 years, specializing in curriculum development and teacher training for schools in marginalized communities. Her specific interest in peace education began in 1993, after communal riots devastated India. In 2001, Feruzan attended the Seeds of Peace International Camp with the first-ever Indian delegation. For the next two years she worked as a volunteer for the Mumbai follow-up program and became Director of Indian Programming in 2003.
