Seeds of Peace was a cause close to Howard Singer’s heart. In the face of some of the world’s most intractable conflicts, Seeds of Peace gives rise to new generations of leaders uniquely inspired and equipped to build lasting peace.
Since 1993, Seeds of Peace has set the standard in international peace-building by providing exceptional young people and educators from regions of conflict with an otherwise impossible opportunity to meet their historic enemies face-to-face at our Camp in Maine. There are now over 6,000 Seeds and Educators from 27 countries who prove that solutions exist, peace is possible, and there is reason to have hope for a better future.
Howard was inspired by Seeds campers from the moment he met them. Feeling their hope, he collected enormous donations of cleaning supplies each summer through and shipped the materials to Maine where they were put to great use. Year after year Howard tirelessly assembled goods, getting creative with products and knowing he was supporting a great cause. Seeds of Peace is enormously grateful to Howard and Anise Singer and the Clean-Like Pros team for their continued efforts and generosity.
We are saddened by Howard’s passing; he will always remain an important part of our Seeds family and we know he would have been so proud to see his grandson, Andrew, attend Camp as an American Delegate.
In loving memory of Howard, Anise has kindly set up a scholarship fund to sponsor one young peacemaker to attend the Seeds of Peace Camp in Maine each year.
